A rare occasion where all 5 members of the now defunct WRTS were present at the same time. This post serves as a special tribute to all our fans outs there (thanks everyone, thanks!). Thanks to Xiao Wei for helping us capture this moment, though reluctantly, and we had to persuade and cajole her as she insist that she was the 'early bird' for the occasion and insist to be in the pic.

Out of the blue we were reminiscing about WRTS and Jenn started to revisit our blog. Thats when we started to LOL at the previous posts and pics. In fact I had to make several attempts to log into the blog, as the password was buried somewhere deep in my brain.

A quick update on us, the STILL eligible bachelor and bachelorettes (Welcome back to the club Jef!)

Happy B-earth Day Jef!

Dejavu all over again, same venue as HL & HL day for Jef's 24th. Except this time we waited til midnight and did a countdown for him. It was a night NOT to be forgotten as the Birthday Boy tried his utmost to charm a mature lady, but without any success even after several persistent desperate attempts. Good try anyways

Jef wasn't moonlighting as a waiter on his birthday. . . But no one's complaining if he still wanna serves us

On 28th March itself we gathered again, together with Sharon, Isabel & respective partners who were not able to join us the night before. We had dinner at Holland Drive before proceeding to Holland Village for some desserts.

Whether it's vermicelli or beehoon, we still wish you longevity nevertheless.

A sequence-story Birthday card specially made for Jef.

Coincidentally, it was also Earth Day. We had cakes at Essential Brew in a cosy and dimmed ambience for an hour. The place was in a birthday frenzy during the period, with 3 birthday songs including Jef's belted out. The whole world is celebrating with you and for you!

Double celebration for our very own March unidentical twins: Hui Liang & Hui Ling. We rocked Powerhouse on 11th Mar. Though being a Wednesday we did not have to worry about dragging our feet to school/office the next day as we were on leave.

Temporary Valentine

"Love is in the air. . . "

This day the world celebrates love among couples, friends and families. As for us the swinging singles, we had no choice but to celebrate it with each other, going out as 'couples' for the day. Through a drawing lots session a week ago, we bought each other a gift based on the name drawn.

Fate or coincidence? Jef and Lynn received each other's gift. A white berms for him and an ingenious and impressive gift within a gift for her. Awwww. .

Hui Liang will now have more space with his new American size boxers from Jenn. Balls to that!

Stella will be glowing in the coming days thanks to the beauty mask from Hui Liang.

Jenn received 2 gifts from Fadly, a shades and flip flops. Guess this Posh Spice Wannabe have to get a nose job done first before wearing that shades.

Fadly received a Nike tumbler to replace the lost one received at last Xmas gift exchange.

To determine the couple for the day, we drew another round of lots. With the exception of Jef and Lynn though, as they were already fated for each other. So for the rest of the night we went out on a triple date, having dinner at Bugis and playing games at Mind Cafe. Our love for each other could not last at the end of the day so we parted ways on the same day. If Glenn and Jaime could do it on V Day, so can we.

Powerhouse/CCK Open House

"Just dance, gonna be ok, da-da-doo-d00-mmm!"

06th Feb was a sneak preview of what is going to happen on 11th Mar, as claimed by the March babies - Stella & Hui Liang.

This time round, it was a smaller group compared to Gotham. But we sure had a wondeful time, or maybe even better. Why wouldn't it be as it was free entry for everyone, with membership privileges and student pass.

Powerhouse was spinning House Pop music, which was not too bad. . . at least we were able to groove to it. The great thing about clubbing at St James is that we can always hop to the other outlets besides Powerhouse. After spending almost the entire night at Powerhouse, we proceed to Boiler Room thereafter.

Everyone was on cloud nine. Hui Liang on the other hand was still wide awake though his eyes doesn't show it.

Guess another March baby thought it was a preview for March 28th. . .

With just a few hours of sleep, we gathered at Jenn's house the following day for her yearly customary Chinese New Year open house. Besides feasting, it was also the opportunity for us to make some fast cash, or rather lose more than what you bargained for.

Big winners were Jef and Stella. As mentioned before, Jenn's house was a makeshift gambling den for the day. Mahjong and poker games were in operation in the living room, bedroom and even the balcony.

Know your limits in gambling. It can make or break your happiness, relationships or marriages. The following is a perfect example. . .

"Huat ah!"

Its customary to have Yu Sheng tossing or more commonly known as Luo Hei during the Lunar New Year. We had one followed by a steamboat buffet in Chinatown. We even have a special guest all the way from the UK.

Luo Hei is believed to be a symbol of prosperity in abundance for the Lunar New Year. The higher the toss is, the greater the fortune. Let's hope the Year of the Ox, which the majority of us were born in, will bring everything good for us!

Gotham Revived

It was an early reunion dinner for the remnants of 3B13 at Magic Wok. A few days prior to this, we were debating furiously over which joint to head to for Happy Hour. After taking into careful considerations based on preference, cost and location. . . Gotham Penthouse was chosen as the chill out spot.

Dark, gloomy and deserted, Gotham was really lifeless, looked as if Batman has forsaken the place. However thanks to us as the party starters, the place came back to life, at least for a few hours.

Music was great with cosy ambience but its a pity that the place does not attract much crowd.

Nevertheless, everyone had a good time. . We used to complain of fully packed clubs, but now we guess a little crowd wouldn't hurt.

Welcome Back To Queenstown

Brand new year but the same old routine. We were back running again at Queenstown Stadium and we have new company this time. Stella finally joined us together with Felicia. Its a shame that Lingzi was not able to join us.

It has only been a few days in 2009, but we have already 1 running event marked in our calendars. The Adidas Sundown Marathon will be a goal that we will be training for. Its a bigger group signing up this time and its a shame (again) that Lingzi is not able to join us. . .

H A P P Y N E W Y E A R !

We were back at Siloso Beach to usher in 2009. The ZoukOut gang (plus Felicia) got wild and wet. Everyone let loose and were very much hyped up, and almost becoming a public nuisance. We literally painted the town red, screaming at the top of our lungs as we made a mad dash from our chill out place to the Entrance so as to make it in time for the countdown, and also made time for some photos along the way. . .

Jenn trying to imitate Fadly's expression, but it didnt really come out right. . .

That night belonged to Jenn, who fared better than Hui Liang at ZoukOut. She was clinging to a Caucasian man for a period of time. A picture speaks a thousand words, and we have '2,000 words' here to prove that. . .

That was not the end. . . A few hours later, a 21yo Australian Chinese BOY was so smitten with Jenn that he kept caressing her. Though there were no picture to prove that, we have 7 eye witnesses. . .

On top of that, Jenn was in her own world for a moment. Or rather she was out of the world, went to Venus and came back after that.

We can't say the same for Lays though. . . She went to Pluto and didn't really come back to Earth.

Not A Lonely Xmas

WRTS succesfully organised a wonderful Xmas party at Bukit Batok Home TeamNS Chalet.

To date it was the largest event with 23 attendees:

The motto of the party was hassle-free and minimal wastage. Therefore we ordered a variety of food from McDonalds, KFC, Pizza De France together with Sushi and Bee Hoon.

Traditionally, Xmas won't be complete without a Turkey. But in this case, it was such a disappoinment. Costing almost $40, the turkey was almost inedible, with a 'rosemary' pungent smell given off and a weird after-taste.

Ladies were engrossed in Uno Stacko

3B13 reunites! At least half of us. .

While waiting for the clock to strike midnight, the guys were subjected to Jenn and Eliza's Most Valuable Man (MVM) of the Night, as a form of entertainment. The men were put through a series of test to determine the winner of the deserving title.

The hunks of WRTS won in 2 category (Fadly in Test of Wisdom, Jef in Test of Wit). It was a tie between Fadly and Ivan for the Test Of Fitness.

Even so, none of us won the 'coveted' title which was awarded to Ivan. He received an overwhelming number of votes from the ladies in the Popularity Category, even though Hui Liang went topless, trying to garner votes for himself. It was a last minute desperate move as he had not won anything. As usual he believed that given his calibre, he should have swept away all the prizes.

Gift exchange was conducted soon after the countdown. Each one of us bought a gift each, $15 worth, as agreed prior to the party.

Jenn and Eliza even bought gifts for everyone, out of their own pockets, for the sure-win lucky dip.

Happy Hour then begins, and ended till the wee morning. Highlights were:

>>Jef has found a formidable match in the art of nagging, none other than Ivan.
>>Hui Liang finally vomitted after previous few attempts to get him puke failed.

Once again, We run the show, brilliantly. Special thanks to:

"Get The Party Started!!"

Touted as one of the largest dance festival in South East Asia, Siloso Beach was the place to be on 13th December.

While waiting for Jef who was having his last paper til 9pm, the rest of us chilled the night at Vivo. It was already almost midnight when we were going to soak up the atmosphere.

We spent most of the night at the Mambo Jambo/Hip Hop Arena, grooving to evergreen retro hits til 2am and then continued bopping to Hip Hop & RnB hits from 4am.

Hui Liang managed to hook up a fine young lady, or should we say its the other way round.

Kiyah Splashh team were also spotted having fun! Whoosh~!

It was around 7am that we decided to call it a day. As much as we wanted to end it on a high note, something totally unexpected happened. Stella's bag was missing from the same locker she shared with Jef and Lynn, which was still locked when they went to retrieve them. By the time we waited for the authorities to arrive to take down her statement, it was already 11am when we left Sentosa. Poor Stella. . . Our heart goes to you, may the jerk who stole your bag lose something even bigger in his life. We will just bring ourselves, along with our ID and cards in our pockets for ZoukOut 2009, if there's any.

Lastly a tribute to Jenn, who has always been trying to get a piece of Jef.

Run Our Own Race

"Tough times don't last,

but tough runners do. . . "

It's finally here, the day we have been training for since September. It was the girls' first running event for 10km and the guys' first full 42.195km marathon.

Stella joined the guys for the 42.195km run, as an unregistered participant, completed the race and even managed to get a finisher T Shirt!

Looking fresh at 0500hr. .

It was indeed a painful experience. The pace was good for the first 30km. Fadly and Hui Liang lost Jef and Stella along the way, somewhere at the 15km mark at East Coast Park.

Pain started to set in after 30km mark, just as we were about to complete the East Coast Park route. We just have to overcome it and dragged our feet to the finishing line. But thanks to the endless flow of Ice Mountain water, 100 plus, bananas, oranges, GU Energy Gel and Deep Heat Rub, we persisted and made it through!

Kudos to Jenn and Lynn too, for completing their first ever 10km run when the guys were still running the race.

Hui Liang and Fadly came in together at the finishing line this time. Hui Liang's goal this time was to get himself photographed as many shots possible (read: cam whore), hence the same timing as he didn't make a dash to the finishing line. Also along the running route, he tried to position himself nearer to the cameras when he saw the event photographers snapping some shots. Check out marathon-photos.com to see whether he really did fulfil his goal.

That wraps up the running event for 2008. Next on the line will be Adidas Sundown. The girls will be participating in the 10.5km women run. As there are only Full and Ultra Marathon category for Men's Individual, the guys will be forming a team for the 10.5km Team Category. Well unless we wanna go through 42.195km again, or better yet the Ultra 84km!

The Finale Birthday!

It was the closing chapter for birthday celebrations this year for the youngest among us. We celebrated it on Lynn's actual birthday which was yesterday. Jenn, Lingzi and Fadly were on half day leave and we spent the day with her as the guys could not stay out late due to River Regatta the next day.

Prior to that, Jenn, Lingzi, Isabel, Xiao Wei and Keng Boon gave Lynn a surprise at her house on Thursday night.

We spent 2 hours in the afternoon in E-Max at Cineleisure Orchard. Guess we will be never be too old getting engrossed in video games. We were 'jamming' out the guitars on Nintendo Wii belting out Aerosmith Hits. Though it was just a game of coordination by strumming on colour combinations, we were fumbling initially. It became quite addictive after a while. Isabel rocked the house, hitting every note with near perfection and beating the rest of us hands down. "I Hate Myself for Loving You" was the most over-played song and got stuck in our head after the session.

"Hey hey, I wanna be a rock star. . ."

Jef and Hui Liang were in their own world, playing Counter Strike by themselves. Felt like we shared the room with 2 strangers. . .

Had dinner at Pasta Waraku in Hereen. We then proceed to the balcony terrace garden at Paragon, presented her with another cake, Isetan voucher and a special E-Card greetings (knowing that the effort in making a card for her will be wasted).

Not forgetting that we still had our run this week, on Tuesday and Thursday. 2 more weeks to Standard Chartered. Urghhh. . .

8 More Months!!

It will be a 8 long months wait to our next biggest event (not the Standard Chartered run)
. . . of year 2009! Yeah, we have secured seats to Bangkok next July. It's unbelievable cos we have not even plan anything yet for this year's New Year Eve celebration! Well at least there is something for us to look forward to in year 2009.

Everyone was upbeat during the run the next day. It was only less than a month ago that we came back from Bangkok, talking about the trip at Queenstown stadium and here we are at the same place discussing about the upcoming trip.

That aside, the Standard Chartered Run is less than a month away. Finally Coach HL has decided to increase training to twice weekly. Hope it is not too late. 42km is no joke, but Impossible is Nothing (TM).

It was a fun filled evening of lane polishing (and the gutters) at Kallang Bowl in Kallang Leisure Park. Finally we were able to bowl after a few failed attempts, mostly due to long waiting list. Before that, we had sumptuous sushifor dinner.

Wondering why it took so long for someone to update last week's run ? Lazy? Can't be bothered or don't know how to write??

Anyway we ran at Bishan Stadium last Wednesday, as Lingzi who was supposed not to be able to join us but wanted to join in at the eleventh hour after her aerobics class was cancelled. It was too late by then so we went ahead running at Bishan without her. Sorry Lingzi, this week will be back to Queenstown. Though we miss your presence, the macaroni fish soup was too hard to resist. . .

Jef on the other hand was not be able to join as he was having class til late. But then he realise his class was in the morning. In the end he still didn't join us as he had to be in the hospital. A deal is a deal though, the $2 fine still had to be paid.

Changes and Cancellations

This week was full of last minute changes and cancellations to our programs and activities. The usual weekly Thursday run was changed to Tuesday to accomodate most of us, but still we didnt run due to bad weather. So all we could do was to have dinner at Anchorpoint.

We were supposed to be basking in the sun at Sentosa on Saturday. But, it was cancelled, due to poor attendance and inaccurate forecast of weather. The weather on Saturday was perfect, but one of us predicted that it will rain, like it was the previous few days. Tough luck. .

So in the end we just settled for a lazy Saturday, watching Tropic Thunder at Cineleisure and strolling around Orchard Road. Supposed to watch the 7pm show, but because of another last minute change (HL decided not turn up) we watched the one screened earlier. It's a movie about making a movie, that was supposed not to be the movie but ended up being a movie. Go figure it out. . .

Since we were in town, we also bought the ZoukOut tickets which we had planned to attend. Tickets cost $48 each, but with our DBS Debit Card we were entitled to 5% discount, making it $45.60 each. But we could have saved more if not for Jenn! With the DBS Live Fresh Credit Card, we would only pay $40.80, after a 15% discount! Jenn found out her sister is a Live Fresh Card holder only after we got home. It's too late to apologize Jenn. . .

Also, our very own "Rain" and "Jason Mraz" were doing well on HMV CD charts. "Rain" was no. 2 on the Asia Album Chart while "Jason Mraz" was no. 5 on the Pop and Rock Chart. Well done guys! It feels good to have famous friends. . .

The night was spent planning upcoming events and activities. Up in the pipeline will be Lynn's Birthday, Kukup Trip, ZoukOut, Christmas Party and New Year Celebration. We even went as far as to plan another holiday to Bangkok.

These week, it was the guys that were slacking! They ran 5 rounds LESSER but they insist it's because they ran FASTER. Another excuse added to the list. we shall see how long that list will go...

Lingzi didn't join us as she got 'meeting boyfriend' as an excuse. Meeting boyfriend is probably the best excuse! Too bad for WRTS members! We R The Singles, can't use that as an excuse!

We Run The Show in Bangkok!

11 October 2008, our first overseas trip together. The airfare cost SGD172.80 per person on AirAsia. After sending out the 'invites', only Lingzi accepted our invitation and joined us on this trip. Thank You for making the special guest appearance!

WRTS Featuring TLZ

All geared up. . .

We stayed at Siam Oriental Inn located in the famous backpackers' area of Khao San Road. Since the accomodation is for lodging purposes, putting up at a guesthouse saves us a lot of money. It cost only THB690 for a triple room per night. (Approx. SGD30). Therefore each person only forked out $10 per night!

First meal in Bangkok...

We immediately head to Platinum Mall after checking in. Its a must-go place for the girls, if not they will murder the guys. Girls being girls, they spent like there's no tomorrow, grabbing everything which caught their eyes. The guys only bought 2 tops each from there as we felt Chatuchak was the place for us. Indeed it was! We were at Chatuchak on Sunday from 1000 to 1600hr and the guys were still not satisfied. We felt that we did not comb the whole area thoroughly which was impossible anyway.

We even planned a gift exchange way before the trip. We drew lots and bought the gift in Singapore for the intended recipient. Ironically, we exchanged gifts in pair, meaning that we received the gift from the one whom we were supposed to buy for!

The Grand Palace is just a 10 minutes walk from our guesthouse. The visit enriched our mind and soul as we appreciate the magnificent architectural design of the structures.

We were hiding our ice cream, that explains why one of our hands were placed behind our backs. . .

HIPPIE was our chillout place on the first and last night of the trip. The cosy setting and ambience is perfect for chilling. Wide range of music were spinned, from Fool's Garden to Katy Perry. Lots of silly and embarrasing moments happened on the last night. We enjoyed ourselves though. Definitely our favourite place, thumbs up!

The trip ended on a good note. No major quarrels took place as forecasted. Many many thanks to Lingzi for trying very hard to control her temper (though she lost it several times) and put up with our antics. . . Also for the great photos from her camera. Bangkok is just 1 day away! We didn't lose the mood to run although the gals were slack this week running 4km while Lingzi didn't join us. I didn't even have much mood to update this post.
The LAST RUN before we are OFF TO BANGKOK! hopefully not the LAST RUN of this running schedule! and hopefully not the end of our friendship.

not a full attendance for WRTS

NO ONE reminded me to update the blog on last week activities. not that we didn't have activities but just that NO ONE updated the blog.

We went to Sentosa last wed. Sentosa was a very short trip and i reckon that WE couldn't play volleyball: the ball hit the sand more than it land on our hand. Sakae Sushi was probably the highlights as we reminisced our poly days. NO ONE in our group bought camera. So no photos were taken as camera man, Fadly, was celebrating his Hari Raya.

Of coz we had our usual Running at Queenstown and this time Jef could not join us as he got to help his dad at work. We accepted this 'excuse'.

Paying Homage To Our Alma Mater

It was supposed to be the normal routine weekly run at Queenstown on Thursday. However there was a match going on there! The very first time it happened in Queenstown since we started running there. We had no choice but to source for an alternative venue. Clementi was the next best option, as it was the nearest from where we were. . .but it was a little bit inaccessible for the ladies. Fortunately we were smart enough to know that there is a stadium in Singapore Polytechnic. (Ok, everyone knows that there is a stadium there).

Singapore Polytechnic, the institution where we came from 3 years ago. It was a pleasant place to run at and considering it as one of the venue to run in the future. Lingzi didn't join us this time, she's binging on food this week.

Our 3rd running session for the NEW running schedule.

We have 2 absentees this time. Lynn need to see docter for her skin, therefore she definitely had a REASON for not joining. Fadly's REASON - "sending his bike for repair", WAS NOT ACCEPTED by Jef & Huiliang.

and of coz Jef & Huiliang REASON for not updating a single post for this blog WAS NOT ACCEPTED by me. Well, "don't know how to update a post/ don't know how to use" is definitely the 100th excuse they have given!

Mid Autumn @ Central

It was a night of lights, with lanterns brightening up the area around Central @ Clarke Quay. We joined in the vibrant atmosphere after having dinner somewhere in Boat Quay. We also managed to
catch a preview of boats decorated with lights in conjunction with the Singapore River Festival which will kick off next week.

A new clean sheet. . .

It was back to running on Thursday at Queenstown. Not even a break after completing our marathon and 10km run. How hardcore is that!

Lingzi joined us again this time. Keep up the determination, we will be continuing to run at Queenstown every week for your sake! Do not let us down.

Since now we are training for December's run, it will be a totally new running schedule with the girls mileage included. Here's how it went:

Finally, we were able to book a badminton court after weeks of trying. We had our first badminton game at Jurong West Sports Complex. Unfortunately Hui Liang was not able to join us due to his Basketball match.

Besides running, badminton will be included in our weekly affair (subject to court availabilty) to enhance our sporting lifestyle.

"Set your own pace,
and keep to it. . ."

It was such an inspiring event, running for a good cause. Jef pledged his run to WWF to save the pandas, Fadly dedicated it to UNHCR which provides for children refugees and Hui Liang supported the Lance Armstrong Foundation in battling cancer.

The last 100m stretch to the finishing line was dramatic. As usual Hui Liang flew to the end, while Fadly was behind. Jef suddenly overtook Fadly soon after. But miracles do happen. . . Fadly managed to finish ahead of Jef by a hair's breadth. However the official net time indicates that the 3 of us finish within 2 seconds after each other. . . And Jef's net time proved to be faster than Fadly's.

We hang around at the Padang after the run. Host MTV VJ Utt & Taya kept teasing the crowd and hyped us by throwing away several iPod Nanos. We were quite close to grabbing one of them. Hui Liang knocked it behind instead of grabbing it. There were also performances by local acts. We enjoyed Jack & Rai performance the most, playing their familiar tune, "The Fa La La Song". And they also did a beautiful version of Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" and Gavin DeGraw's "I Don't Wanna Be." We left early for dinner and therefore didn't catch Boys Like Girls performance. Damn . . .

That wraps up the month of August, completed our runs and IPPT. Looking forward (or not) to December's 42km Standard Chartered. Meanwhile, we will keep running, and running, and running. . .

AHM was just over barely a week ago, and the guys today went for our first IPPT after ORD. It was one of those things that we have been training for the past few months. We achieved our expectations and delivered the results. Here's how it went:

Hui Liang was so disappointed that he didnt manage to attain 'Platinum' gold, though he over did the maximum and scored better than Fadly in 4 stations. Try harder next year. . .

Jef did an amazing 10 chin up though he almost lost his silver through Sit Up. It was down to the last 15 seconds and he struggled for 4 more sit ups. It was a close shave. . .

The 2.4 km route has been changed, instead of the previous 3 rounds around the camp compund it is now being conducted inside the multi storey carpark. We had to complete 6 laps, similar as running in a stadium. We were skeptical at first, but we did our best and managed to set personal best times.

After IPPT, we rewarded ourselves with a good meal and ice cream at Haato, a very cool chillout place at Mount Sinai Road, off Ulu Pandan Road. Will definitely bring the ladies there someday. .

Series of 2 hr plus. . .

On 24th August, the lives of the 3 guys revolved around 3 different events of 2 hours plus. . .

First, it was the 21km AHM. We completed the run roughly in 2 hours plus. Out of 5,200 participants, Hui Liang came in at no. 1475, with a time of 2hrs 11min 35secs.

Next Fadly came in at no. 1594 with a time of 2hrs 13min 17secs. And finally Jef crossed the line at position 2495 with a time of 2hrs 28mins 47secs.

0630hr at the starting line. .

After the gruelling run, we rushed to Kallang for our dragon boat training with aching legs. After 2 hours plus of training, aching arms and shoulders were added to the list.

Next week will be the Nike Human Race. We collected our race packs after training at Clarke Quay. To our horror, the queue was snaking around The Cannery. In all, we queued for 2 hours plus just to receive our race packs.

Therefore, we ran for 2 hours plus, rowed for 2 hours plus and stood for 2 hours plus!

An Evening At the Swan (Prawn) Lake. . .

The weather was less than perfect for a picnic. Kept raining the whole day but it didnt dampen our spirits to go ahead with the picnic. Fadly, Jef and Hui Liang were slightly late because we were trying to find the 'Prawn' Lake and went to the other side of the garden.

It was almost like a barbeque, everyone brought something to munch on. Lynn brought sandwich, Hui Liang prepared spaghetti, Jef made potato salad, Jenn cooked chicken wings, Fadly brought fruits, Lingzhi bought pizza and Sharon with Jason contributed drinks, fishballs and sotong balls.

The day ended early as the guys had a quest to complete the next day. . . 21km of pain. .

Last Thursday run was a lonely one for Fadly as Jef and Hui Liang had 'greater' commitment to fulfil on that day. Anyway we had a special guest for that evening - Lingzi! It was long due anyway. . .

"Shine For Singapore. . ."

It was our beloved nation's 43rd Birthday. Though we were not lucky enough to be part of the yearly mega celebration at Marina Bay, we still showed our patriotism to the country by dressing up in red and white but not without stares and comments from stuck up passers by. Come on! Its our country birthday!

Earlier in the day, the guys went beyond our limits and ran 43 rounds at Bishan stadium. Initial plan was to run 40 rounds. But since it was National Day we decided to make it meaningful and ran another extra 3 rounds, all for Singapore!

We ran and never looked back. . .

We spent the evening watching Love Guru and having coffee thereafter at The Cathay. The movie is truly slapstick, plenty of jokes on a certain part of the human anatomy. Mariska Hargitay~

Guru Pitka says, "Learn to love yourself and you will love others." So we decided to share our love and concern by doing Jenn's favourite activity - Gift Exchange. Rule of the game was to buy a gift worth $5. Food items was not allowed but Fadly was not informed. Too bad. .

Here's how it went:

That night we noticed something too . . .

Hui Liang is always ready for the camera. .

We have signed up for this December's Singapore Standard Chartered 42km Marathon. Thanks to Jenn's sister for letting us charge to her card enabling us to save $9.75! (jenn: 'should be a saving of $10 as i collected $55 from each of you')

Put the blame on the rain

Fadly was absent today (AT LAST), blame the rain! Jef & HL was so happy that Fadly failed to achieve a perfect attendance! haha! The guys were abit slower today (me and lynn was ahead of them by a few steps when we finish our 4km)! who to blame? Jef was too slow? or perhaps it was because they were tired from doing 1000 times of skipping rope (claim by them) which they STRONGLY believe that Fadly can't do it! and not forgetting that Jef was doing a better job than HL in skipping! thumbs up for jef!

Jenn Pop Pop Party!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENN!!

Party at The Beach! Jenn's birthday was celebrated with style, good old fashioned BBQ at East Coast Park. Weather was perfect and food was plenty. We had to make it special for Jenn since she had been planning outings and events for us all these while.

As expected Jenn broke into tears. .

while we laughed!!

Of course we also showered her with lots of gifts that night!

After the rest of the guests had left, the five of us wasted the night away doing all sorts of silly and ridiculous stuff. Like Jenn mentioned, that night seemed to be Jef's Birthday instead of hers because he:

2) Received the most kisses (1st kiss given to Fxxxx)
3) 'Slept' with 2 ladies

Jenn's wondering whether it is really her Birthday . .

Despite a few hiccups (insufficient ice and charcoal), overall it was a great BBQ Birthday party. Special thanks to:

Being the Scapegoat

This week, since Jef was not around, Coach HL decided to divert his attention to Fadly. We did 3 rounds of 4km each, doing 3 sets of statics in between. Jenn also ran her first 10 rounds. Good job guys! Since AHM is drawing near, we will be running twice a week from now on. Hui Liang and Fadly has decided to sign up for December's 42km Standard Chartered Marathon. What are you waiting for Jef??

After the run, we discussed the upcoming Jenn's Pop Pop Party at Starbucks. Everything is already in place for her celebration. All tasks have been not so equally divided. Hoping that the weather will be good as we don't have a contingency plan for wet weather.

The Road To AHM. . .

On 24 Aug, the guys will be participating in the 21 km Army Half Marathon (AHM). It will be the first time for Hui Liang and Fadly, and second for Jef. Though Lynn and Jenn are not involved in the AHM, both of them still tag along for our weekly runs. Training for this quite gruelling event started way back in May at various stadiums (none in the east though). The progress so far. . .

Always becoming the butt of jokes, she loves to organise everything including other people's life. Wouldn't leave home without her planner. Can be naggy at times and seriously needs to brush up her English.

M2: Fadly
Status : Working in an Airline

The outcast, always given the corner seat because of a certain cultural understanding and also cos is the only one living in the east. He is obsessed with Beyonce. Also known as the music dictionary and the supplier of fresh songs. Very selective and fussy about movies.

F2: Lynn
Status: Working in a Bank

An IT idiot, not really too tech savvy. However she's pretty good with camera as she believes that camera loves her. Have a thing for pretty little young boys. She doesn't like to keep things as momento.

M3: Hui Liang

Status: Aspiring Playboy

An optimistic and practical guy. Quite short and fair for a guy and always proud of his 'well built' physique. A complete mismatch, he runs like a flying horse and also a basketball pro. For that, he is the "Coach" for our PT. Always checking out girls with his small eyes and hooking them up whenever there's a chance.
